OBX Moment of Zen – 10.3.12

Today’s video was shot just next to the Nags Head Fishing Pier.

Weather is warm and beautiful! Much better than the dark, rainy day we had yesterday. The temp is around 83 degrees, sunny, water temp is around 73 degrees and a 50% chance of rain/isolated thunderstorms later this evening.

The surf today is 3-4 ft. and will only decrease as the week progresses. The strongest surf for breaks will be south of Oregon Inlet.

There’s a lot of fishing going on! Today begins the 62nd Annual Nags Head Surf Fishing Club tournament. The tournament will go on for the next three days. Good luck to everyone out there fishing for the big one!
The reports say they’re catching some Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Spot, Puppy Drum, Black Drum, Bluefish, Pinfish and Flounder.
